About
Chris Coulon, Owner
I grew up just down the road in Bellevue, though my ties to the valley go back further — and North Bend has been home since 2005, the only place I've ever owned a house.
Construction runs in my family — my dad and uncles were all in the trade. I started working job sites for my uncle, a general contractor, around fifteen, and at sixteen I helped build our family's house out on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie. That's where a lot of my hands-on foundation came from.
I kept at the trade through my school years and even ran a small handyman business on the side, before it took a back seat to the Marine Corps, where I've served more than thirteen years — several of them mobilized and deployed — and still do as a reservist. I came back to the work the way I grew up in it, and since buying my own place I've taken on just about everything on my home and rental properties: a full sunroom addition (excavation and foundation through framing, wiring, and drywall), flooring, finish carpentry, and a lot of paint.
I started this business to do that work for my neighbors directly — without the overhead, the runaround, or the long waits that come with a bigger outfit. I'm mostly self-taught beyond what I grew up around, I hold a high standard for quality, and I'd rather tell you straight what a job needs than oversell it. When you call, you reach me.
When I'm not on a job, I'm usually out in the garage rebuilding an engine or up skiing the backcountry around Snoqualmie.
