About

Chris Coulon, founder of Cascade Construction and Repair

Chris Coulon, Owner

I have been fortunate to call North Bend my home since 2005 and it's in this community that we have chosen to raise our kids and hopefully someday retire. I started Cascade Construction and Repair to serve the community that has given us so much — to help my neighbors take care of their homes and bring their projects to life without the hassle that often comes with contractors. I treat every project like it's my own home, and I believe in doing things right the first time, with honesty and integrity.

Construction runs in my family — my dad and uncles were all in the trade. I started working job sites for my uncle, a general contractor, around fifteen, and at sixteen I helped build our family's house out on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie. That's where a lot of my hands-on foundation came from.

I kept at the trade through my school years and even ran a small handyman business on the side, before it took a back seat to the Marine Corps, where I've served more than thirteen years and still do as a reservist. I came back to the work the way I grew up in it, and since buying my own place I've taken on just about everything on my home and rental properties: a full sunroom addition (excavation and foundation through framing, wiring, and drywall), flooring, finish carpentry, and a lot of paint.

I started this business to do that work for my neighbors directly — without the overhead, the runaround, or the long waits that come with a bigger outfit. I'm mostly self-taught beyond what I grew up around, I hold a high standard for quality, and I'd rather tell you straight what a job needs than oversell it. When you call, you reach me.

When I'm not on a job, I'm usually out in the garage rebuilding an engine or up skiing the backcountry around Snoqualmie.
